We recently discovered that our web host has a 100 email per hour limit per SPAM laws. We didn't know this, of course, and so a LOT of people never got emails for this reason. And now that the site is live, and considering account verification emails and auction confirmation emails, it's an impossible situation and we can't even really anticipate when they'll be sent and when they won't. We've put in a expedited request to have our SMTP limits increased, however. In the meantime, if you email info@thefandomgivesback.com and give the email address and penname you signed up with in the spreadsheet, they'll send you your account information.
This also means that other emails aren't being sent, such as account activation emails. In this case, email info@thefandomgivesback.com with your account username, and they'll activate you manually until we can get it resolved.
Notifications, Item Verifications, and PM Notifications have also fallen victim to this fail. So if you haven't gotten emails and you're scratching your head, don't worry. It's not you, it's us. Well... actually, it's not us, it's "them." | |
